If you want to travel and you want to ensure that not a second of your time spent doing so is wasted, you need a travel bucket list - a document that includes all of the places you want to see, and all of the places and attractions that it is commonly agreed are must-sees. Although I can’t help you with the former, I can certainly help you with the later…
The Northern Lights
The Northern Lights are nothing short of spectacular. They light up the sky with their beautiful colours and leave anyone who sees them standing in awe of the beauty of nature. So, naturally, you’re going to want to put seeing them on your bucket list. Although it is sometimes possible to see them in the UK, you have to be very lucky, which is why you’re better off travelling to places like Iceland and Alaska where they can pretty commonly be seen.
Camping in Kakadu National Park
If you want to travel to Australia, not only is camping more affordable, but it allows you to really see more of the country’s natural beauty - it’s wildlife and it’s beautiful scenery, so camping or glamping if you must have your luxury is a pretty good idea, and there is no better place to do that than in Kakadu National Park, which is the biggest national park in Australia. While you’re there, you can sample traditional Aboriginal foods, indulge in water sports, check out he ancient aboriginal art, or just go for long walks and watch the birds, crocs and the myriad of other animals as they do their thing. If you are planning to camp, you’ll want to shop now for the best deals on essential equipment. Go prepared and you cannot fail to have a good time!
See the Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Islands are absolutely teeming with exotic wildlife. Which makes them one of those places that you absolutely must see at least once, especially if you’re a nature lover. As well as Komodo dragons (if you’re lucky) you’ll see pretty cactus forest, barren yet beautiful larva formations and some of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. Just be sure to shop for a good pair of hiking boots before you go. If you want to get the most from the island, then you’ll have to do lots of walking.
Enjoy New England in the Autumn
New England in the Autumn, or the fall as it’s known over there in the USA, is utterly enchanting. The leaves on the many trees are a rich rainbow of gold, purples oranges and reds and the views from the many sweeping valleys are to die for, especially at sunrise. Sometimes, it’s the simple pleasures in life which are the most affecting and New England in the Fall is a case in point.
Be sure to start your bucket list off with these suggestions, then brainstorm a few of your own and keep adding to it. Then, whenever you have a chance to travel, you will not be stuck for ideas and not a moment will be wasted.
