We may only have just entered march and been through some terrible winter weather, but Spring is finally in sight and at the end of this month we will be enjoying the lovely Easter break. While there are some great reasons to enjoy the Easter break, it also means you get the extra bank holidays so it makes it the perfect time to take a break away. Choosing to just use this days might even mean that you don’t need to take any annual leave. But what should you do and where should you go? I thought I would share with you some of the locations you could consider.
Staying in the country
One of the first things you could consider would be to stay in the country. There are some great places dotted around and it could just depend on exactly what you want to get from a break away. Something relaxing could mean heading to a place like The Wood Norton. Maybe you like the idea of something more active so a place with sporting facilities and even out in the country where you could go for long walks and explore would be more your thing. You may also have a city in mind in this country that you haven’t been to. There is so much to see and do that you really don’t need to jump on a plane to enjoy a break away.
The romantic city of Paris
If you and your partner want some romance for a weekend away then what better place than the city of Paris. It is a vibrant city with plenty to see and do. You could stay in the Center of the city and enjoy sights such as the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre. Or if you are a big kid at heart just outside of Paris is Disneyland. Full of fun and laughter it really is a great place that even adults can enjoy.
Enjoying some spring sun in the Canary Islands
Maybe the Easter weekend means that you want some sun. We haven’t had too much of that recently and it certainly might not be making too much of an appearance anytime soon. The Canary Islands are one of those locations that normally has great weather. There are a few different islands to choose from such as Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria to name a few. All of which have great beaches and fabulous resorts to keep you busy or relaxed. Whichever you want to be doing.
Partying in Barcelona
Finally, Barcelona is a city that gives you both the city vibe and the beach escape and it isn’t too far to travel on the plane. Making it a great option for Easter Weekend. There are some fantastic restaurants, brilliant shops, and even the Nou Camp football stadium for any fans that offer great tours. There is always something to do in this city and the nightlife is something it is known for.
Whether your Easter is spent with friends, family or loved ones, I hope that this has given you some inspiration on some of the alternative places you could spend it this year.
